Only then the germs present in the liver will be completely eliminated. It is not an easy thing to root out the malaria germs settled in the liver. For this purpose, the most effective medicine is Primaquine. Primaquine will root out the germs in the liver; but, it may cause some dangerous side effects. Hence, they must be administered under the supervision of a doctor. It may lead to jaundice after killing the red blood cells. Carrying women: If carrying women are affected with Malaria, they must be given Chloroquine only if they are in the third month. If used before three months, it may result in abortion. Primaquine tablets should not be given to women during the period of carrying.
